Pixel Gets Presents From Cave Story Fans

Pixel's Engraved Black Nintendo DS by The The All Things Studio Pixel fancommunity

As you might or might not already know, Ravenworks (and now a friend of his too) has been working on making a Cave Story port for the Nintendo DS for some time now. Pixel is aware of this, however, as he does not own a Nintendo DS. They and The All Things Studio Pixel fancommunity raised up to 410USD, and bought him a DS and more presents:

  • Engraved Black DS Lite (shown in the picture at the top, for more pictures, go to this post)
  • R4 cartridge with 2GB micro SD
  • DS case
  • Mother 3
  • Game Center CX

    • A few days ago, Pixel received the presents and sent them an answer, which was translated and sumarized from Japanese by ufo_z:

    Basically he's very happy about the DS (his treasure!), and he's
    feeling kind of strange to see Cave Story working on it so well.
    Also he's loving GC:CX a lot, apparently it reminds him of hanging out
    at his friend playing on the NES as a child.

    Personally I think these guys did a great job and I wish I had known about this sooner to donate myself. Pixel deserves the love.

    If you want more info about how the development of the port is going. The guys at DS Fanboy asked ravenworks a few questions on the subject, including how far they are in development!
